Weekly Challenge #9: Black Friday Challenge!

This Weekly Challenge has a “Black Friday” twist! Here’s what we want you to do this week . . . Include the color black in your project AND recycle or repurpose something. Also, 2 Cricut cuts are required.

I bought the Noel decoration at Wal-Mart after Christmas on a great sale. It has sat upstairs since then. For this challenge I unearthed it and added cuts from A Child's Year, Winter Frolic and When It's cold outside. The black shadows were perfect against the gold. If it hadn't been for this challenge, it would still be in the bag!

You must create your gift bag or box using a base from one of the many Cricut cartridges available. Embellish it to fit your style! Please use at least 4 Cricut cuts in your design and incorporate something from one of this month’s magazine sponsors.

I used Dear Lizzy + American Crafts from Christmas Comfort and Cheer. Cricut cuts: Holly, poinsettia, leaves from Winter Woodland, Penwork from French Manor and bag from TBBM. Embellished with red and gold gems, glitter pen and ribbon for handle. This will make a great gift card holder for my niece.

The theme for this month’s challenge is all about cozying up your home with Handmade Home Decor! Please create a home decor project. Project must be newly created for this challenge and should include the following elements to qualify:

•Use atleast one Cricut Cartridge Cut
•Use the Cuttlebug in some way (embossing folder, Cuttlebug die, Quilling kit, etc.)
•Use Felt in some way
•Use the color GREEN somewhere on your project

For this challenge I used a Cricut Cut from A Child's Year and the cuttlebug die for the snowflakes. The snowflake on top is felt and the gem and ribbon are green.

The turkey base is SU Apricot cardstock, the second layer is print paper with Magenta flowers, Golden Yellow in the candy and Deep Olive cardstock as the card base. I inked the different layers.

Cartridges used: Christmas, Wild Card and George.

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge #6: Feathered Friends

This week's challenge was in honor of our feathered friends. Must use 2 Cricut cuts, bird(s), and stitching either machine or hand or both.
